ghost staring from behind the door I've seen you in so many ways before time had its way with our friends roughed up turned upside down and left for dead lucky you and me, we got off easy with just obsessive haunting imagery turn out the lights I wanna go to those days one more time tonight I'm free, tonight I feel the passion, and blood, the pain and the love tonight hard days, long nights ahead when the haze cleared it left me here instead confusion settles into breed will this turn I took cause my soul to bleed who are we now defeated by that which we love s ghost staring from behind the door turn out the lights and come with me to those days one more time tonight I'm free tonight I feel the passion and blood, the pain and the love tonight

wings of gold worn about for hiding there's misfortune on my mind with a soul, with a love for heartache what a passionate crime side by side, alone, in love that ain't right, it's the song that leads your head into that world micro beats on stone, this room's too dark this room's too cold closing in, closing in oh man it's really happening now all the walls are closing in
4.
be still the blackness moves into the fold I've stolen everything a broken man can hold stay light, stay the night take me to the edge don't fear this night just hold on tight I can beat back the daylight held frozen in your stare I'd willingly die here I'd stand in line to feel your lips next to mine I'm lonely, I surrender to everything I thought I could own control me please take hold of me and I'll take hold of you there's a riot on the rise violence is on the rise madness is in our eyes hell is on our mind ( I heard a piece of a long forgotten song it's pulling me back, pulling me back home I am beautiful and light )

Sable Sky 04:24
oh vacant sigh you hold nothing not a stone I close my eyes and it took me to a home that once was filled with emotion and even love I wanna cry but I'm already gone love me late at night it was our only choice love me late at night and I still hear your voice love me late at night I believe in love, I believe in life I believe in light I want to fly is it so wrong to try as they prepare for flight so long see you around someone always knows so long see you around sing about leaving home ( a sable sky is hanging still above me now nowhere to turn and no offerings left to burn ) walking and walking through the ghosts of this town in a graveyard of songs where their hearts all sank down I'd bet another day wouldn't go by cuz the smell of these streets I don't recognize
6.
Vacancy 06:08
a lazy Saturday slowly melts away to find the night's vacancy is upon us baby floating off the high of a summer sky I catch a spark in your eye and it haunts me baby I've been feeling uptight I wanna know who you are tonight I've been feeling not real like I could never feel the baby is sound asleep the world within her reach but for you and me the days they grow softer lady it's nothing like I planned never in demand I never thought it would feel this amazing baby and you're not alone I've been watching you grow and I took the wrong approach I've been fighting myself too long can I take you to bed with this beautiful day still fresh in my head the world it grows tense the writing is on the wall let's hold tonight before it's dead and gone

the angel crashed into the river but could not survive the rising tide it washed up dead upon a village shoreline a crowd of people rushed the scene enter the priest, with a churchly decree "it's a miracle of faith, and for those who still need faith" up stood the cynic to kill all excitement "it's nothing more than a man with wings fused to his hands" the military were the last to arrive but quickly worked to rope off the scene police took control of the growing crowd and said "there's nothing more to see" the town businessman, already had a plan he said "supply and demand" and quickly ran ahead the pick pocket thief made a killing at the scene a heaven sent diversion he was gone before he was noticed news crews in helicopters took to the sky the ratings never were so high officials scrambled to make official announcement an explanation the people would believe the frenzy of the fall lasted for weeks on end the town was now alive again with a new identity the angel crashed into the river like a gift from God himself high above to a once dying city forgotten by the sea rediscovered in the tourist industry and about the angel, he was never seen again he was taken by the man never seen again

Fruit Trees 05:41
six o'clock came again it never asks me for permission it just comes and takes my dreams away I'm not the only one looks like we made it through the night we meet under the dawning sun to give life to you I'm so humbled to share the stars with you all the moonlit wonder I'll be there in your love nothing can separate us little dove sunlight, twilight, darkness through it all remain in control love life, all the wonder of this world dream now and I'll see you in the morning back to the soil another to grow taking our traits and letting us know can you believe something so pure from you and me two flowering fruit trees what will their boughs bring stories and songs of love and pain to feel your life in me I'm so humbled to share it all with you all the moonlit wonder to give it all to you, the moon the stars and all the rain to give it all for you the moonlit wonder

The Witch 08:37
there was this witch who knocked at my front door with an offer I could not refuse she said she would do for me what I could not do for myself unfold a world upon my doorstep I knew she was trouble but my eyes were blind a poor man's battle raged inside of my mind she stood there watching with those glowing eyes of stone waiting patiently for my answer She said she would need something in return "for no choices made are free of recompense or left unquestioned by the one's whom you love for once it's seen it cannot be unseen" I said "change can only mean for something good I can't take any more of this poor man's sorrow" I said "please take what you want from me" she replied "I want nothing from you only something of you" she turned and pointed beyond the frozen fields beyond which she said lies a river "the flow of a coming tide will lead the way to me with the billow of that tide in will rest my fee" so I sealed the deal and I went on my way into an open world of fame and fortune everything close to me was now far away but I would numb the pain with the gold and silver but all those things in time seemed to lose their shine and I'd find myself alone again in sorrow and drifting to a time when the only gold I knew was love and the smile from my children's eyes was all I'd needed well I went back there to the frozen fields in search of the witch by the river winter was ending with spring about to bloom the river was awake and it was flowing I followed the flow of the tide for some time until I came upon the witch she was waiting as I approached she smiled and spoke no words she just stood there pointing into the water "before we met I had watched you for some time I watched your children play in those old days I've never had children of my own and fragile is the love which lies deserted" what she said to me nearly stopped my heart for now I knew that which she was after "your children will return to me, to these woods in search of the feeling of those pure days" well I got on my knees and began to beg she just stared back at me with those cold eyes I cried for here to take me instead the deal is done she said it cannot be undone "before we met I had watched you for some time I watched your children play in my envy" I cried for here to take me instead "what once is done cannot be undone" there was this witch who knocked at my front door with an offer I could not refuse she said she would do for me what I could not do for myself unfold a world upon my doorstep

this lonely time of fear is floating down the stairs I still hear footsteps in the hall it's waiting for me there inside it all one day we will climb the stair to freedom nothing is moving we're against the wheel hanging lightly by a thread tonight shadows forming in the black night in silence she hides here light in a hidden voice of love we let go of failures in the past who could know what's next
